Oak Street Health South Dekalb Primary Care Clinic

Run as fast as you can! The customer service at Oak Street health on Candler Rd. is terrible especially since they have a whole new staff. They turned my mom away, she was 5mins late for her appointment and they still didn’t allow her to see a doctor. My mom had fibroids during the time along with heavy bleeding and swelling. I took her to Northside Hospital and later found out that she had a hernia that was over 10lbs, fibroids that were the size of a small watermelon which was all removed and the doctors there also removed stage 3 cancer. Thank you Jesus! But I am saying all of this to say. Oak Street does not care about our love ones. They ignore their patients and don’t respect their patients caregivers and people trying to call and set up appointments for their loved ones. They had already canceled some of my mom’s appointments due to the doctors leaving and now the service is still terrible. Do your research when looking for health care it will save you time, peace, and a stress free situation.

My appointments have been rescheduled 3 times. The quest lab tech was the worst she tried 2x to get blood & couldn't she said she would only try 2x and I'd had to make another appointment I asked if there was anyone else that could do it luckily there was a MA outside the door who walked over and successfully got blood. That was my 1st experience with Oat St. Health I have to think about if I want to return or not.

I didn't like it I don't think it was nice I'd rather wait for my nursing practitioner to get back off of vacation I love my doctor she's the best

Everyone from the front desk to the back medical professionals make you feel welcome and safe. You feel like you are seen and heard as well as give top care always. I'm glad I switched to Oak Street!!

What makes Oak Street excellent for seniors is the staff, especially Dr. Barromeda. She's very knowledgeable and caring. Also, nurse practitioner, "Victoria" is professional and caring as well. They also have an excellent staff at the Decatur location. They seem to have real concern for the patients' health.
