10/10 experience. Very respectful, clean, and timely. Additionally, Dr. Jacobs was absolutely amazing and actually does prioritize and care about patient health. Overall, I strongly recommend this practice.
I am extremely disappointed in the lack of professional care and administrative gatekeeping at this office, especially from Dr. Jacobs. While my regular provider was on leave, the covering staff and on-call doctors were completely unwilling to provide continuity of care for a previously successful maintenance medication. Despite my explaining that I was experiencing urgent, painful symptoms that were physically worsening since running out of the medication, the office refused a bridge refill and insisted on an unnecessary new-patient consultation at another office, which would have lengthened my pain by months for one of the most common, easily curable symptoms of HRT. This rigid, 'check-the-box' bureaucracy was not only extremely inappropriate and incompetent, but created a significant gap in my care and left me to deal with physical injury and pain on my own. I was able to resolve the issue in minutes through a third-party telehealth provider who immediately understood the need for basic transgender care. If you are looking for a practice that understands trans healthcare and prioritizes patient well-being—especially when your primary doctor is unavailable—I suggest looking elsewhere. They are even ignoring multiple requests to provide a prior authorization on my HRT prescription in my attempts to transfer. If you can afford to go elsewhere, I strongly recommend it.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE COMING HERE! I have been coming to Someone Cares since 2018 and i can say they are the best. Genuinely feel like family and that they care about my health. I also encourage people, especially those in the LGBTQ+ community to have healthcare providers that understand our experiences and our community. TMI - when I go to my PCP for my physical, they never do throat and oral swabs (and will tell you they aren’t equipped for them) here, that’s the first thing they do. Alex is amazing! Keisha is amazing! Literally the entire staff!
This place should be nobody cares Atlanta. A place where you will be sent out the door.. condemned to suffer because they act as if they would be doing you a disservice by providing you with medicine you’ve already been on for years..Dr Jacobs doesn’t care.
I had a great experience with Dr. Alex! She is an amazing nurse, and made me feel comfortable and genuinely cared for. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions. It’s clear she’s passionate about what she does, and it really shows in the way she treats her patients. Highly recommend!
