Alive and Well - Bee Cave

Absolutely phenomenal experience! I had Erika at this location for a 90 minute Swedish massage. Even before I got a massage, I called pretty late to see if I could get some information on the place because this place was recommended by my healthcare specialist for my chronic illnesses. The customer service was fantastic, and I was directed over to their Austin email address for all my questions. I sent a book of questions, since my body is still very ill and weak. I had never had a massage that was meant for relaxation (always for physical therapy or for fixing issues, always painful and uncomfortable), so I was very nervous to see if this place could even accommodate my needs. I received a huge, detailed email a couple days later, addressing every single ingredient, question, scheduling and need that I had. The place is beyond clean, relaxing, and I was welcomed so warmly. Erika listened to my every concern, every need, and constantly made sure I was comfortable. She understood exactly what my body needed based off my current diagnosis, and gave me some very helpful advice for what I’ve been going through. Never once did I feel scared or uncomfortable. I will be recommending this place as much as I can!

I had a deep tissue massage with Brandi, and it was top-tier. She truly understands pressure points and has a sixth sense for bodywork. I left feeling refreshed and completely relaxed. I’ve had many massages, and it’s rare to find someone as skilled as Brandi. I highly recommend her!

Poor quality compounded medication. Troches on left: Alive and Well Pharmacy — lumpy, inconsistent texture and color. Some of the troches overflow into other troches. Troches on right: Peoples Rx — smooth and consistent texture, color, and medication amount. Alive and Well's compounded medication quality has always been hit or miss, but since February of this year it has been consistently bad. In February, I received a very poor quality batch of troches by mail in Dallas. The quality was bad enough that I set them aside in my fridge and kept taking my previous prescription instead, holding onto the new batch for a couple of months and using only a small amount of it. When I finally called — not to ask for a refund, since I'd waited too long for that, but simply to let them know the quality was poor — Alive and Well tried to pin the blame on me or on shipping. I paid for a brand new replacement prescription despite their reluctance to acknowledge the obvious quality issue. I was floored by their response, so on my next trip to Austin I returned the old medication and picked the new batch up in person. I checked it in the car before leaving, and the quality looked just as poor as before. I brought it straight back inside to ask about it, and the pharmacist shrugged it off, told me it was normal, and said the troche dose is still consistent despite the obvious poor quality. Ever since their quality dropped, my hormones have felt noticeably off. It's been a waste of money. After this experience I switched to People's Rx, and they provided high quality troches in a heat-resistant bag with an ice pack, the way it should be done. Be careful sending compounded medications to Alive and Well Pharmacy.

Can not say enough good things about this place. From the moment I walk in the door im met with warmth. I love the selection of wellness offerings and the staff is super knowledgeable, helpful and sooooo friendly. Iv Drips, contrast therapy, red light, ozone therapy, you name it, they do it best!

My 60-minute prenatal massage with Sage was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment I walked into Alive and Well, I felt instantly at ease. The space has a beautiful mid-century and bohemian vibe and smells incredible. This was my first prenatal massage without a bolster, so I laid on my side, and it was actually much more comfortable. Sage’s room was incredibly calming, and the heated massage table was warm and cozy. I didn’t want it to end. Thank you again for such a much-needed and lovely experience, Sage. I’ll definitely be back!
