I’ve been seeing Emma for nearly two years now, and I genuinely cannot imagine trusting anyone else with my skin. Every single appointment, I walk out glowing, refreshed, and so relaxed I almost forget how to drive home. What sets Emma apart is how deeply she gets to know your skin. She doesn’t just treat you like a generic client, she pays attention, remembers your history, and notices changes before you do. Her product recommendations are always spot-on, never pushy, just genuinely thoughtful advice that actually works. If you’re looking for a facialist who combines real expertise with a truly calming experience, Emma is your person. She’s absolutely amazing, and my skin has never looked better.

Had an incredible experience working with Derrell. His signature massage with hot stones was hands down the best I’ve had. He’s extremely knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and clearly dedicated to his work. The technique was precise and expert-level from start to finish, and I left feeling completely restored after coming in with major back pain. I absolutely recommend working with him. Already looking forward to my next session. I’d definitely recommend 75-90 minutes signature Swedish massage, hot stones, and a scalp massage.

I am a member and for the most part I would say this place is great! The front staff and service providers are very kind and professional. Recently I went for a facial for the first time and asked if removing vellus hair was something they do with their facials. The provider said she could do that. This has always been something has been included in facials with my previous provider (different company, I just moved to Austin). I’ve never experienced discomfort during this process, but it was extremely uncomfortable and I got cut on my forehead. Admittedly I am pregnant and have never gotten this done before while pregnant, so I cannot say if it’s because my skin is delicate, or if it was due to technique. Some of my baby hairs were cut during the process which I am not too happy about but I can chalk that up to a mistake. My provider was really kind, and seemed to be knowledgeable! When I was checking out I discovered that dermaplaning was not included in my service and was extra - almost as much as the facial itself which is wild. I can’t fully blame the provider for not stating this when I asked but I would have appreciated her mentioning that when I asked since I just assumed it was included. What was extremely off putting is when I mentioned it to the front desk that I didn’t know it was extra they apologized and then proceeded to state that if I left a review or referred people to book a treatment I would receive money towards my next service. You’re basically saying “sorry, but you can get some money back by telling people to come visit us” which isn’t the best approach in addressing a customers concerns. I come here for nails, and have a massage booked this week, so I am a frequent visitor as of late. Since this was my first off putting experience I wouldn’t deter people from booking a treatment because things happen. Hopefully my future appointments are smoother!

I’ve been going to Ken for my monthly massage for the past 3yrs, and cannot recommend him highly enough. He is truly incredible for pain and stress relief, no matter what issue my body is having. Such a nice guy, too. I only wish I could take him with me as I move! The membership is a bit expensive, but worth it if you’ll be a regular customer.

I have been coming to Hiatus Day Spa once a friend recommended it to me. I'm so glad I took her advice. I wanted to continue to improve the appearance of my skin and find someone who would listen and provide the right treatments for me. Emma V. has been an absolute dream to work with and I have loved to see the progression over time. My skin looks and feels great thanks to Emma. I highly recommend her. Also, the H-Circle Membership is great and offers great benefits and specials throughout the year.
