The Tox Austin Downtown

I had such a wonderful first experience at The Tox Downtown Austin. From the moment I walked in, the space felt clean, calming, and aesthetically beautiful — the kind of environment that immediately helps you relax. Alicia greeted me with so much warmth, which set the tone for the entire visit. My technician, Paris, was incredibly knowledgeable and calm, and she made me feel comfortable throughout the whole session. I especially loved that we started with an affirmation — it was such a thoughtful touch that helped me settle into the experience. This was my first lymphatic drainage massage, and I was honestly amazed at how quickly I could feel a difference. Almost immediately, I felt tension releasing in my pelvis and stomach. As a fitness instructor, my body often carries inflammation and tightness from teaching and training, and this session really supported relief in those areas. I’ve also been dealing with feeling run-down lately and some inflammation in my lymph nodes, so it felt great to give my body this kind of care. I left feeling relaxed, lighter, and more connected to my body. Highly recommend The Tox if you’re looking for a wellness experience that’s both intentional and restorative. I’ll definitely be back.

I waited to write a review until after multiple visits because consistency is key when evaluating the overall experience. I just completed my third treatment at The Tox – Downtown and can honestly say it has been exceptional. Alicia, the owner, is actively involved in the day to day operations, greeting each client as they walk in and ensuring a smooth check-in process. She is always kind and welcoming when I come in. All of my treatments have been with Maya. We’ve done 60-minute full body sessions as well as facials. While I didn’t notice a dramatic change after my first full body treatment (likely due to carrying some additional weight), I did feel better overall. I'm sure the results may be more noticeable for those with slimmer figures. I did notice more of a difference after the second and third sessions. My facial, however, delivered immediate visible results, defining my cheekbones and chin. Maya is consistently professional, fun, and an absolute pleasure to work with.

I came across this company’s stall at Westlake Wonderfest where they were letting people spin a wheel and receive a service. I participated in the game and received a Steam Mask w/ Free Facial Promo. The worker at the event wrote this on a general business card and told me I can set up an appointment using it. I got a text message to fix the appointment I was offered two slots and chose one. They called me after and said I can only receive the Steam Mask w/ Free Facial Promo if I buy the body massage package. When I called the day before the appointment they said I don’t have a booking at all because I am not willing to buy the package. It was never mentioned to me that I had to buy any kind of package on the business card or at the event. The person I was speaking to on the phone acted like she was giving me a FAVOR by offering the free facial as if I was BEGGING for it and she claimed that no one else had called about the same offer. She also claimed that the misunderstanding was on my part and would not accept the company’s mistake. When I said I would be writing a review explaining the situation that others need to be aware of the false advertisement, she blamed me of spreading negativity and trying to hurt their business. I am putting a three star review to be neutral but my main concern is to let others know of the situation and how this business is handling such a misunderstanding by blaming it on the customer. As the conversation went on phone it is disgraceful for me to accept your FAVOR of availing the service but you better offer proper services while advertising and not make it a fake promises and blame it on misunderstandings.

The staff was attentive and made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The treatment was very detailed, and it was clear that a lot of care and professionalism went into every step. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the entire experience was enjoyable from start to finish. I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated!! 10 out 10!!!

I do not take 5 star reviews lightly! Sydney did an amazing job as a first time visitor. She had the perfect touch of being educational, making me feel comfortable, and letting me relax. I will be going back! Highly recommend for first timers the facial and full body combo to get the full experience.
