Everyone that I have dealt with has been an absolute delight. You can text or call and always get through to somebody, and if they don't answer the phone they will get back to you within an hour. Dr Shaw is it really intelligent, kind man and he keeps things simple and quick. But, and no disrespect to Dr Shaw, the reason I'm writing this review is Michelle; I believe she works at the front desk but I'm not sure. Chancer's all of my texts almost immediately, all of my calls almost immediately and just genuinely cares about her job. She's a model employee any company is very lucky to have somebody like her. It seems like everybody at the front desk shares a very similar attitude as Michelle as well. If you're dealing with any hormonal issues or have to go to urologist, I would 10 out of 10 recommend this place.

I recently had a vasectomy with Dr. Shaw, and I could not have been happier with the experience. From the phone calls with his staff, to how thoroughly my questions were answered, to the procedure itself, everything was handled really well. Dr. Shaw’s bedside manner was excellent (I genuinely enjoyed the conversation I had with him), the procedure was quick and smooth, and even recovery went better than I expected. There’s a reason he’s so well regarded in the area. If you’re looking for a urologist, I’d highly recommend Dr. Shaw and the incredible team behind him.

A full on medical procedure, and yet, easiest overall doctor visit I’ve ever had! The scheduling they do quicker than anywhere else, by a mile. I was quoted for August everywhere else (Scheduling in May) and this place was available the very next week when I called. Procedure is quick, painless (I didn’t even use the sedative) and Dr. Shaw and Dr. Beard (I feel like I’m spelling it wrong, I’m sorry Doctor!) were great conversationalists through the whole thing, which kept the process really low-stress. Seriously gentleman, when you’re ready to get the vasectomy, pull the trigger at this place.

I had an absolutely brilliant experience with Dr. Shaw. He made me feel comfortable and was done so quickly that I didn’t even know he had started by the time he was done. We discussed our ideal Porsche 911 configurations and had a good laugh. His staff- Cory and Adriana were amazing. They were so informative, so helpful, very patient, and also made my significant other feel welcome as well. I think in 2025, men need to do better, and offering such a positive and simple experience like this is definitely a step in the right direction.

My family and I can’t say enough wonderful things about Austin Urology Institute and Dr. Shaw. They’ve been caring for my grandfather for about a year now, and the entire experience has been exceptional from start to finish. Dr. Shaw and his team are incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and kind. My grandfather needed multiple procedures and eventually surgery, and Alex took the time to explain every detail so we always knew what to expect. The surgery was scheduled quickly and went perfectly—no complications at all. Samantha has been amazing with scheduling both surgeries and staying in constant communication, always patient and thorough in answering our questions. The staff at the front desk and in the office are equally wonderful—everyone knows us by name and treats us like family every time we come in. We’re so grateful for the outstanding care and compassion the entire team has shown. Austin Urology Institute is truly top-notch, and we wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in need of urologic care.
