We must remember that it's the vocal minority who leave negative reviews. Dr. Shaw has seen thousands of patients during his career. I was recently one of his vasectomy patients and I could not have been happier. From every phone call and in-person interaction with his staff, to the various questions that were comprehensively answered, to the day-of where not only was the bedside manner of Dr. Shaw above and beyond, but the procedure went quickly and smoothly. The recovery process went better than expected as well. He's the best in the area for a reason. If you're looking for a urologist, look no further.

Dr. Shaw changed my life for the worse. I was left in debilitating chronic pain after a vasectomy from him. When I went to see him his assistant tried to gashlight me. Saying it was all in my head and to man up. Claiming they had performed 10,000 of these and never once encountered post vasectomy pain syndrome (PVPS) Shaws on website claims his procedure carries a risk as high as 18%! I had to have a separate micro-denervation surgery by a different dr. To get some of my life back. I still suffer from the pain and trauma. Stay away!

Dr. Shaw has gone above and beyond in caring for my grandfather over the past year, and I truly can’t thank him enough. His expertise and compassion have completely changed my grandfather’s quality of life for the better. He’s wicked smart, but what really stands out is how he explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand. After being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer back in July of 2024, I took immediate action and got with Dr Shaw. He and his team explained my options and I had my Prostate remove November 13th 2024. All went very well and Dr Shaw did an AWESOME JOB!!!. He is very thorough on the follow ups and explaining the test results. He and his team including the staff are great!!

I had prostate size reduction surgery using a new procedure called “Aquablation.” Procedure was done at St David’s surgical hospital in Round Rock. My personal experience was fantastic. Dr. Shaw’s office staff as well as physician assistants were all exceptional. Dr. Shaw performed the procedure to perfection. My prostate size was so large, I couldn’t void urine & my sciatic nerve was being pinched off to the point where I could no longer drive as I could no longer use my right foot. I was driving with my left foot for both gas pedal & for brake. I totally recovered post-operation, and my right leg is now being properly innervated by the right sciatic nerve. I also have no more problems with voiding urine. The urology institute run by Dr. Shaw is top notch & highly, highly recommended. I thank God for guiding me to the right urologist.
