Total Men's Primary Care - Hutto

Had a really great experience here. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to. Going to a healthcare checkup can sometimes feel uncomfortable, but the staff made me feel at ease and never made me feel bad or judged. They took the time to answer my questions and genuinely seemed to care. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I'd definitely recommend them to others.

I used to love this clinic. It was always incredibly easy to schedule and I had a great regular doctor here who has unfortunately since left. My recent experience proves that the quality of care has completely gone downhill and I will not be returning. NOT a safe space for men, especially some men. I went in just needing a standard physical therapy referral. The nurse who took my blood pressure was incredibly short, dismissive, and aggressively cranked the cuff down to the point of severe physical pain. I do combat sports daily and have a high pain tolerance, but this was agonizing and caused me to start squirming and tensing up. Unsurprisingly, the physical pain and stress triggered a full-blown panic attack, causing my BP to spike to 180. Even though I explicitly told the doctor I was having a panic attack because of how the test was administered, they completely ignored the context and immediately handed me a blood pressure pill to take right there a highly irregular and reckless move for an isolated reading without any chronic history. When I asked the doctor if the test should hurt, she initially said no, then immediately began backtracking to cover for her nurse's poor behavior. They then re-tested me on a machine while I was still visibly in the middle of a panic attack. I didn't take the prescription they pushed on me, and checking my baseline at home the next day, my BP was a completely healthy 127/80. This clinic seems less interested in proper patient care and more interested in aggressive billing, pushing quick meds, and hitting sales quotas. If you are looking for a reliable primary care physician, look elsewhere. The good staff are gone, and what's left is a massive liability.

I just tried to make an appointment with this clinic. I asked a simple question They right away said they don't verify insurance and they bill you out of network prices. I was like what. Fist it false advertisement it is say they do verify insurance. And I am in network. I worked for medical insurance verification for 6 years. Also did you know if you have no insurance they have a self pay chart it way cheaper then insurance cost. But you have to have no insurance. So after her saying they charge out of network. I was like nope they are lazy and can charge you what ever. What happened to doctor that wanted to help. Insurance is a scam why I quit doing it. Ughhhh..well looks like I'm looking for a private doctor. I feel they care more. Better then going to a carousel clinic when they rush in and out.

UPDATED REVIEW AFTER NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE: After my original review, Brittany, the area manager, personally reached out to me to discuss my experience. She took the time to listen, address my concerns, and assured me she would look into the situation thoroughly. She later followed up with me and explained the steps that were taken to address the issue and help prevent it from happening again. I appreciate the communication, accountability, and professionalism she showed throughout the process. Because of how this was handled, I do feel confident that my experience was an isolated incident, and I will continue using this office moving forward.

office personnel are always friendly, clean office and communication is great. My normal provider was not there one day, but I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Mandy Vaquese in the Hutto location. she was very understanding, great listener and very easy to talk to. she made my visit very pleasurable. good job Total Mens in finding great staff!
