Total Men's Primary Care - Southpark

Called my PCP to get an updated referral for my dermatologist. There was a little back and forth from my Derm and PCP about the referral - My Derm claimed they never got a referral / My PCP said they sent it. I showed up for my appointment and my dermatologist in fact did NOT have a referral. Turns out that my PCP never updated my health care info and all the referrals got rejected. After coming out of pocket $300 for the appointment I reached out to the PCP referral department and got to the bottom of the issue and was told they would get all the information updated the referral retroactively sent over and then I'd be able to get reimbursed by the Derm. 3 months later after several follow up emails and calls I finally got the referral. Unfortunately it was too late for the Derm to submit the claim with my insurance and refund me for the out of pocket. I called and emailed Total Mens several more times asking for a supervisor or manager. And finally got one a month later. She was quick to deny any accountability on her teams part, blamed me for the whole situation, and lied about the events claiming that I refused to update my PCP and thats why they couldnt send the referral. This is absolutely NOT TRUE as I updated my PCP twice at Total Mens request to get the referral pushed thru. Long story short: Their team is obviously not trained correctly, take no accountability for their actions, and blame the patient for anything they do wrong. DO NOT TRUST WITH YOUR HEALTH CARE

Finally a healthcare experience built specifically for men! Total Men's Primary Care at Southpark is an absolute game changer. The entire concept is brilliant and the execution is flawless. From the moment I walked in I felt completely at ease in an environment designed with men's health specifically in mind. The doctors and staff are incredibly professional, knowledgeable and genuinely invested in your long term wellbeing. Appointments are efficient and on time which I greatly appreciate and the level of care and thoroughness during every visit is outstanding. Total Men's Primary Care has completely changed how I approach my health and I could not recommend them more highly to every man in Austin!

I've been to 3 other Total Men's (which were all great), but this one just opened a few blocks from my house so I figured I'd go when I had an infection yesterday. I had a 10:30am appt, and was finally seen by a doctor at 11:47am. The doctor immediately said "go to the ER," and wouldn't do anything else, not even write a prescription. I didn't pay a co-pay for this (yet at least) but it counts as one of my 3 doctor visits for the year. I didn't get friendly energy from anyone there (yet I was in excruciating pain so I wasn't giving any either). If this is not something they work on, they should have saved me the hour+ of waiting, since I put the issue in the notes when I booked the appt. The only thing the doctor did right was recommend that I visit Kyle ER, which did take exceptional care of me. Not giving up on Total Men's entirely, but will not be visiting this location again.

Always a pleasure when I'm dealing with Dr Luke Johnson, and Donna, who is a personal dedicated concierge for Total Mens. If I ever have any questions regarding service, appointments, or medication Donna is always quick to respond to a personal message from me. Just knowing that I can text her if I have any issues, is so reassuring for my overall experience. Every visit with Dr Johnson is a positive experience. He is very thorough and he genuinely cares. My overall quality of life has increased significantly since I started visiting with Total Mens. Thanks again Luke and Donna!

I guess this place is OK if you're looking for testosterone therapy, weight loss drugs, or a look the other way prescription. They charged my insurance company for multiple services and lab work I never received. It's been two months and I'm still getting the run around for my lab results. I was charged for a sleep study I never received. Now I'm getting demand letters for payment. Ridiculous. If you need a prescription I guess they're OK. I wouldn't know. I was there for a physical.
