I visited this spa for the first time and spent $465 on services. While the treatments themselves were fine, the overall experience was disappointing due to the lack of orientation for first-time guests. As a new visitor, I was not given a tour or explanation of what was available to me. I had no idea there was a women’s changing room with lockers, an outdoor seating area, or even a space to enjoy coffee and tea. These are details that would have enhanced my experience and, from a business perspective, even created opportunities for upselling additional services. When I respectfully shared this feedback at the front desk, I found the response dismissive rather than receptive. For a spa at this price point, I expected a much higher level of hospitality, attentiveness, and guest care as that’s been my experience at spa’s in the past. I do believe that with more focus on welcoming and orienting first-time clients, the experience could be vastly improved. I do hope the General Manager Briana will be receptive to implement a process that onboards first time guests in order to generate long term clients and increased revenue for the business. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I left feeling underwhelmed and unlikely to return.
I believe Alive and Well has strong potential to deliver an exceptional experience; however, I continue to feel disappointed by the level of service provided, particularly given the amount I invest as a client. To date, I have spent several thousand dollars across their services - I am currently enrolled in the Elite Family membership ($400/month), have purchased the functional medicine package ($500), and have also transitioned my medspa services (e.g., botox, etc.) to their practice. While the membership offerings themselves are appealing, the overall experience has been inconsistent. For example, the locker room amenities frequently fall short of expectations. In the evenings, the water is often empty, which may seem small but is not in line with the standard one would expect from a "luxury" facility - especially one that includes a sauna. Additionally, my boyfriend has experienced similar issues in the men's locker room, including a lack of available towels. These recurring issues detract from the overall experience. My functional medicine appointment was a positive experience. Rebecca provided a thoughtful and comprehensive review of my bloodwork along with actionable recommendations. However, the follow-up experience has been frustrating. When I reach out through the patient portal with questions, the responses tend to focus on promoting additional memberships rather than addressing my specific concerns. For example, when I recently inquired about peptides, I was directed toward a peptide membership rather than receiving straightforward guidance. I prefer a model where I can pay for services as needed, without the pressure to enroll in ongoing memberships. Overall, it feels as though the business model is heavily centered around enrolling clients in multiple memberships, which makes it difficult to access continued care without additional commitments. This approach has impacted my experience and may ultimately influence whether I continue seeking services with Alive and Well. Medspa services with Kelly are great. She listens and gives great guidance! If you are strictly going for the spa (sauna, cold plunge, massages, facials), it is a beautiful and relaxing environment. However, if you plan to add the functional medicine package, the experience may shift from relaxing to frustrating due to persistent upselling and pressure to enroll in additional memberships.
This place is absolutely stunning. I booked a deep massage with Mia Lucky, and it did not disappoint. She used enough pressure to get all the knots out of my back. I will definitely be back, they have so much to offer.
The Dallas Alive and Well facility is beautiful, the staff I interacted with in person were friendly, and they offer a wide variety of wellness services. Unfortunately, my experience with their peptide membership has been a huge disappointment. I joined the membership for four primary reasons: the convenience of local lab work, the initial consultation with a functional medicine provider, ongoing support, and the advertised discounted peptide pricing. The first two lived up to my expectations. The lab work was convenient, and I had a productive initial consultation with the provider. Unfortunately, the other two did not. The advertised discounted peptide pricing was a major reason I joined ($99/mo for 6 months). At first, they quoted me $331 for tesamorelin and ipamorelin. The price for that dosage was not a discount. Rather, it was higher than retail pricing from other local clinics. They eventually "discounted" it to $255, but I can receive that pricing, or better, at a local clinic. I was also quoted $315 for 5-Amino-1MQ, which again didn't reflect the value I expected from member pricing. In short, there appears to be no discounted peptide pricing as part of the $600 membership. I would not have joined but for the advertised peptide discount. There were also several operational issues. My peptide shipment took about 10 days to arrive, more than twice the time promised. The shipping notification contained only a tracking number with no clickable link or carrier information, and my refrigerated medication was left in a package locker instead of being delivered to my concierge. My consultation summary incorrectly stated that I follow a strict ketogenic diet, and, based on my hbA1c results, I was advised to reduce alcohol and sugar intake despite clearly indicating on my intake forms that I don't drink alcohol or consume added sugar. The biggest disappointment, however, has been the lack of support and follow-through. After raising these concerns, I waited two weeks for a response, was promised phone calls that never happened, and repeatedly provided my availability only to receive no follow-up. On June 26, I formally requested cancellation of my membership and a refund. When I still hadn't received a response, I emailed the Dallas location directly two days ago. As of the date of this review, I still have not received any response. Alive and Well has an impressive facility and a compelling concept, but a membership built around ongoing support and discounted member benefits has to deliver on those promises. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
I have been a member of Alive and Well Dallas since their grand opening and am so grateful to their entire staff and team! Daniel Chege put an amazing protocol together for me while going through IVF and has helped me tremendously, working on gut health. My husband and I love coming in for ozone insufflation in addition to bringing our little one (thank you Daniel!) for ozone insufflation of the ears with all of the pollen/ allergies. Mia Luckey and Marciella are fabulous when it comes to massage, and I love love love Reagan for my facials as she’s so attentive to all of my allergies with latex/ OAS cross-reactivity. I cannot recommend the salt facial enough for acne prone sensitive skin; it’s helped tremendously with inflammation. This is my one stop shop for all things wellness!!!
