Came for a massage today and my massage therapist was Rosemary. She picked me up 20 mins late from my appt a start time and I even arrived 20 mins early. When we got in, we did a bit of chatting which I don’t mind at first. I originally asked for 80 mins, she kept trying to talk me down to 30 mins massage and said that way I can come back every week for her to work on me. I don’t have time for that plus I really needed all that 80 mins to relieve my tensions. Mid way through the massage I told her to go ahead and do 50 mins bc her technique was not to my liking even when I told her I wanted a deeper massage. Well even 50 mins was not it, she might’ve gave me a 40 mins massage. We spent at least a minute talking about how it was not a 50 mins. I finally told her that I looked at the time when she started and thats when she admitted that she cheated me a few mins. It was a very disappointing massage. As far as the spa location and cleanliness, it was nice and clean inside. Front desk people were very nice and pleasant.
My boyfriend got me two spa packages for Christmas, and I used the second one today thinking it would be smart before starting a new job Monday. Unfortunately, my nails weren't dry enough after being told they were (honest mistake). The thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was checking out: I had just gotten dressed and noticed my nails were already ruined. There were three women at the front four minutes prior to closing, and they saw how bummed I was that my nails were smeared already. They didn't offer to make it right, after ample time and conversation about it. The certificate included a $100 tip... and nothing was done or offered to make up for my ruined manicure prior to even paying. I hope I don't sound rude, but I just moved to Frisco yesterday and I hope not every place lacks the southern hospitality. 🤞🏽
Shout out to massage therapist Sheri Smith! Today I went to Stonebriar Spa for a relaxing birthday massage, my assigned therapist was Sheri. As we age we tend to accept the pain in our old bones and muscles, without realizing there are things we can do about a lot of it, and without medications. Sheri identified some of my problem areas, and since she was correct, I told her to go ahead and work them out. So out goes the "relaxing" massage and in comes the "therapeutic" massage. With her background, which includes pain management, it truly WAS therapeutic! She can feel where you hurt. She asked me if I had issues with my left rotator cuff. YES, my left shoulder is always in so much pain I can barely lift that arm! I never mention it because it's just a part of life, or so I thought. When I left today I could literally stretch it straight up to the sky. Seriously! It was such a relief as I have been dealing with it for such a long time. And what a great birthday gift! I won't call it "cured" but I'll call it "fixed for now" and I will definitely be returning for a tune-up...
I had an 80 minute therapeutic massage with Rosemary and it was incredible! I am an incredibly tense person even during massages and Rosemary was so gentle and kind in reminding me to relax. She’s incredibly talented and I feel so good.
