I had a disappointing experience with Passion Health Primary Care, Frisco during my annual physical visit. They misplaced my lab samples and asked me to return again to provide additional samples, which was inconvenient and frustrating. I also received multiple reports that were confusing and inconsistent, making it difficult to clearly understand my results. In addition, I was billed $80 for the annual physical, even though I was informed beforehand that annual wellness visits would not incur any charges. Another concern was the clinic’s marketing focus on language/community identity rather than the quality of care and patient experience. I believe healthcare providers should focus more on professionalism, communication, transparency, and efficient patient care for everyone. Overall, the experience lacked proper coordination and clear communication.
I don’t recommend this clinic to anyone and their billing team is too horrible. They are billing for the tests not done for me and reaching out to that team is too difficult. My first visit itself made me frustrated and still struggling to fix the issues made by them. This type of issues are making me sick again instead of curing after treatment. The clinic doesn’t have proper instrument to check blood pressure. It was showing high when checked digitally and normal with manual check. They took one sample for test and they forgot to do that. And they are following to come again to provide the sample. I am still doubtful if I can trust the treatment done by them .
I’ve been a patient of this practice from the day it opened, in fact I transferred over with the main doctor from her prior office in Plano. In December my spouse had a severe nasal allergies due to unseasonably warm weather. Since we were flying the next day, she wanted to get a steroid shot to help her decongest faster. Since Passion Health did not have any in-person visit appointments available with a doctor or PA, we chose a virtual consultation followed by a facility visit for the shot. All of that went well. Fast forward a month and we get a bill for $365. In addition to the cost of the consultation, without telling her about additional charges they ran multiple other tests (flu for $110!) just to pad the bill. Needless to say extremely unethical and deceptive practice. In medicine the patient is supposed to come first but for Passion Health, it is the $$$$ that matters more.
Do not recommend. I went there for a sick visit and was charged for things that was not even provided. On follow up, I was told these are standard practice and so this worries me if they are doing things that may be deemed insurance fraud. Then they were fine to settle with me. Not good business practice in my opinion. I have asked their compliance/supervisor team to call me and explain but I do plan to report to my insurance too. I would have agreed, if they told me it was an error and will fix it but they justified their act.
Finally a GP that operates the way a GP should! I chose this practice because our old family doctor retired and it had such good reviews, but it honestly exceeded my expectations. It’s in a beautiful location. From the time I walked through the door, I was in and out for my first visit in about 25 minutes. You usually have to wait at other practices a minimum of 25 minutes from your appointment time to even be seen. They actually operate on appointment times here! When I walked in, I did my entire check-in process in 5 minutes using a kiosk that even scanned my ID and took my profile photo for me. Then, I’m not kidding when I say this—I sat down in a luxury recliner complete with cup holders. Like the kind you sit in at Moviehouse and Eatery. I was almost disappointed the wait wasn’t longer (I think I sat there for two minutes before the nurse took me back) because it was so comfortable. The nurse was friendly and efficient, and then the doctor came in less than two minutes after the nurse left the room. Unreal. I always wait at least ten minutes. Dr. Prasannalaxmi was very personable and made a great recommendation for me and even offered to update my prescription while I was out of town if needed by me sending a note to her through the portal. When I left, I scheduled my annual physical and —get this — they scheduled me for my lab work BEFORE my physical appointment with the doctor so I don’t get my results back after I’ve already met with my doctor and have to Google every single off-looking result, convincing myself I’m dying because I can’t get the doctor’s time of day to explain what it all means. I’ve always thought this is the way it should be done so your doctor can discuss the results with you during your appointment , but for some reason, almost no practices actually do it this way. This practice is a rare gem. I highly, highly recommend them.
