We are new to the country and navigating health care was something we needed to just dive into. We were seen within 1 week of connecting with the clinic, had a really great appointment with the Nurse Practitioner, she was very patient and sat with me to go over all of my concerns. I didn't feel rushed or stressed. I am really impressed with the way my appointment went, very different than what I am used to where you feel like an inconvenience and a bother, not here at all! I am really happy with the care that was provided.

I had a great experience at West Frisco Dental & Implants. The staff was professional, welcoming, and very attentive throughout the entire visit. The office is clean, modern, and runs efficiently, which made the appointment smooth and stress-free. The dentist took the time to explain everything clearly and answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed. You can tell they genuinely care about providing quality care and making patients comfortable. Highly recommend this office if you’re looking for a trustworthy dental team with excellent customer service.

To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint regarding a West Frisco health and wellness Center in Frisco, Texas, that refused to provide routine medical care unless I disclosed my Social Security number. On 1-21-25, I attempted to establish care as a new patient. I am not enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid and provided a valid driver’s license and private insurance card. Clinic staff stated that I could not be seen unless I provided my Social Security number. When I declined due to prior identity theft concerns, I was refused care. And I even offered to pay upfront and put a credit card on file. My understanding is that HIPAA does not require disclosure of a Social Security number for routine treatment, payment, or healthcare operations, nor does it permit conditioning access to care on disclosure of non-required sensitive personal information. I am letting admin know that I am requesting that OCR review, since they are the Federal office in charge of HIPPA. I question whether this clinic’s intake practices and refusal of care comply with HIPAA privacy standards and appropriate minimum-necessary principles. I have been a patient at West McKinney Health and Wellness since I was 15—long before the practice moved into its current office and expanded more than eight years ago. Unfortunately, communication has consistently been a major problem. No one answers the phone, getting an appointment is incredibly difficult, and requesting a prescription refill is even more frustrating. I routinely have to leave multiple voicemails, and calls are rarely returned. It should not take repeated attempts just to receive basic assistance from a healthcare provider. I understand that this is a high-volume practice, but that makes having an effective system for answering calls and responding to patients even more important. After being a loyal patient for so many years, the lack of communication is unacceptable and has made managing my healthcare unnecessarily stressful.

Dr. Minigutti (hope I didn’t butcher that) was totally amazing! He was open and honest with me about my health while also making me feel like nothing was impossible! He helped me solve every problem that had been bothering me for months in 30 minutes! Great guy only complaint is that he’s so popular!!
