I had a great experience at Semper! The customer service was excellent from start to finish. Jamila was especially amazing—she took the time to educate me on the process, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. You can tell she really knows her stuff and cares about her clients. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone considering laser hair removal.

Andrea is the best! She is incredibly observant, professional, and always makes me feel comfortable during my appointments. She pays attention to every detail and provides amazing care. I've been going to this location for several months and have had the most amazing results, especially with Andrea! I've had a few different techs, all of which have been wonderful. They're all trained and certified, SUPER friendly and welcoming and I've truly always felt that they've treated me as if I was one of their loved ones. I've never experienced any sort of reaction/burning and believe that's due to both their virtual check in (ensuring no medications, products or topicals have changed) AND confirming in person before starting. Intentional, diligent and thorough service from start to finish. Highly reccomend and I've done tons of research with similar offerings around our metroplex, you can't go wrong with Best Laser.

My name is Alexis Taylor and on 5 February 2026 I attended my appointment at Semper Laser (now Best Laser) at 9503 Research Blvd Suite 530, Austin, TX 78759 scheduled at 9 am for my own routine laser hair removal as I have been since September 18, 2025. My appointment was scheduled with Stephanie R. for my routine removal for my upper lip, underarm and bikini line. The appointment did go as it normally does. The tech shaved a little hair oR my upper lip and my underarms with an eyebrow/derma plane razor as they were currently rebranding and are awaiting new equipment. Stephanie started with my upper lip per usual however, the first two hits hurt 20x more than it ever has before. The tech noticed my distress and asked if I was okay. I informed her that it really hurt. She stated she did not know why as it was on the same setting from my previous appointment. She asked me if it felt like fire and I said yes. She asked me if I had any spf or moisturizer on and I informed her I put moisturizer on before bed but I washed my face the morning of with just a hot towel and purposely did not moisturize due to the appointment. I only did my eyebrows and eye make up like I always do. Following uses a make-up wipe, wipes my upper lip then proceeds through my lip and it hurt just the same, so I thought maybe I was being a baby about it. She then proceeded to my underarm, my left one. As soon as she started it was the same burning from lip, so she stopped and acknowledged the redness on my underarms then readjusted the laser a few times. She then decided to recalibrate the machine and after that it felt normal and we proceeded. February 6, 2026 However, my upper lip was still on fire. She oRered aloe, the hydrocortisone and aloe again. On the way out the door, she asked was feeling and I informed her I was still in pain. She directed me to the bathroom where I noticed my upper lip was swollen and red. The tech gave me the remainder of the hydrocortisone it did not help at all. I got in my car to try to go get some ice, I looked in my rear-view mirror and saw the burn forming. I texted the Semper (now Best Laser) and informed them that I was in fact burned. I rushed back to Killeen to go to the ER not knowing how long it would take because I have children. I was diagnosed with a 1st /2nd degree burn, I was given a shot of Tramadol and topical lidocaine. The scars have since gotten progressively darker underarms and on my face and I am still experiencing a ton of pain. My self-confidence is shot because I cannot cover this up with make-up and I had to fly out of town today for a conference. To find out the facility is not licensed and has not been since October 2024
