I had a great experience at Westlake Dermatology. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming, professional, and efficient. The clinic itself is clean, modern, and well-organized, which made me feel comfortable right away. The provider Dr. Aarushi Walia took the time to listen to my concerns and explained everything clearly without rushing. I really appreciated how thorough and attentive they were, making sure I understood my treatment options and felt confident moving forward. The entire process—from check-in to the appointment—was smooth and well-managed. It’s clear that they value both patient care and professionalism. I would definitely recommend Westlake Dermatology to anyone looking for high-quality skincare and a team that truly cares about their patients.

I can’t say enough good things about Westlake Dermatology. I’ve been a loyal patient of Dr. Heidi Prather and her team for the past several years, and every visit has been exceptional. From check-in to treatment, the entire process is seamless and truly world-class. I refuse to trust anyone else with my cosmetic treatments. Dr. Prather is an artist. She consistently delivers beautiful, natural-looking results and has never tried to sell me on more treatment than I actually need. That honesty and integrity are just as valuable as her incredible skill to me. Her nurses are wonderful as well, especially Isa, who is always so kind and welcoming. There’s a reason Westlake Dermatology is the premier name in aesthetics and dermatology in Austin, and arguably all of Texas. I recommend them without hesitation. Truly 10/10!

Words cannot adequately express my frustration with the way this appointment was handled. My son has rapidly spreading discoloration around his nose that is now extending across his face, and we are urgently seeking answers and appropriate medical care. I drove over an hour to this office for what should have been a scheduled appointment. After arriving and already being checked in, an individual who I believe to be Dr. Alvarez briefly acknowledged us and asked us to wait. Instead of speaking with us directly, a front desk representative later informed us that Dr. Alvarez does not treat patients under the age of 10. When I explained that my son is 11 years old, we were told to continue waiting. After another 10–15 minutes, we were then informed that Dr. Alvarez does not see patients younger than 16. While I understand that providers have age restrictions, this entire situation was completely avoidable. My son’s age was clearly documented in the referral before the appointment was ever scheduled. Had anyone taken the time to review that information, we would have been notified that this office could not accommodate him, sparing us an unnecessary two -three hour round trip, wasted time, and additional delays in obtaining medical care for a condition that is becoming increasingly urgent. This level of disorganization and lack of attention to basic scheduling procedures is unacceptable, especially when families are relying on your office for timely medical care. We left with no answers, no treatment, and a significant loss of time that could have been spent seeking care from a provider who was actually able to see my son.

I had an outstanding experience during my Mohs procedure. From start to finish, the care I received was exceptional. A special thank you to Jojo, who made me feel completely comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. Her kindness, professionalism, and reassuring demeanor helped calm my nerves and made what could have been a stressful day much easier. She was attentive, compassionate, and genuinely cared about my comfort and well-being. I am so grateful for the excellent care and highly recommend this practice to anyone needing treatment.

Dr. Rimoin is amazing at full body skin check and has an equally amazing assistant JoJo. Jojo was so patient and kind S I was having basil cell biopsy. Did not even feel her needle go in to deaden my nose. I feel confident I have formed my forever dermatologist team and happy to be back at Westlake Dermatology. Thank you, ladies ❤️
